Last night I saw a trailer in front of Narnia that got the worst reaction I have ever seen. Most trailers that look stupid get a few chuckles or joking comments like "oh that looks great!"
So last night, I saw the the trailer for Beverly Hills Chihuahua. It is HORRIBLE. It is basically a bunch of CGI dogs singing. I really can't describe how bad it was. Anyway, when it was done, it got some laughs. I'm not sure if it was laughs because it was bad, or laughs because some families thought it was cute (keep in mind this is a Narnia crowd). The theater totally turned on them and booed loudly. I mean booed them out of the building. I've never seen a trailer that actually got boos. Anyone else had this experience?

I never heard of it so I was about to make fun of it too. But I looked it up and saw it was a Disney movie with the voices of Drew Barrymore, Jamie-Lee Curtis and Andy Garcia. Knowing that I'll say that no matter how bad this is it will open huge. Depending on what else is opening that week I'm going to say it will definitely be in the top 5 and may even get as high as one or two! NO ONE can push a kid's movie like Disney. Every pre-teen in America will drive their parents crazy to see this. Fucking kids are like that. Take it from a guy who was forced to see the Chipmunk movie and just had to buy the DVD.

the new narnia movie opens today, and i didnt even know its surname (or that it had one till day). Its like "the prince of something" right? Didnt even ring a bell when I heard it.
but i thought "the sex and the city" trailer was the worst trailer i ever saw..for obvious reasons

That is fucking great - I wish that had happened when we saw the stupid ass trailer for "The Love Guru" last weekend. It was horrific. There were people sitting right behind us actually laughing at it, and I hated it that this stupid piece of shit got any laughs at all.

Yeah, when I was at Iron Man and people were dying during that. And that "Don't Mess with the Zohan" movie. Jesus Christ. I know, he sticks his in the guys face and the guy has to smell it. Hilarity.

Yeah, I was sitting there thinking, "Gee, this Zohan movie doesn't look too good," and feeling embarrassed for Adam Sandler. I actually sort of like him, even though most of his movies are crap. I can't explain it. I guess I just think he seems like a nice guy.
Then the Love Guru trailer came on and I was like, "That Zohan movie doesn't look so bad after all." I couldn't even understand why a single person laughed at Love Guru. I stopped watching the trailer and stared at the couple who were laughing so hard at it. I guess I was looking for them to do something else that struck me as incomprehensibly crazy and white trash. Like maybe I was waiting for the woman to stub out a Misty cigarette in the chair arm or something.
They were probably sitting there during our feature film thinking, "But why is Iron Man saving the brown people???"

I got dragged to "The Chronicles of Narnia" by a date, who was a big fan of the book(s). It was basically a children's movie, and I came to the conclusion that she must be suffering from some form of arrested development. Totally creeped me out.

I used to like the books when I was a kid, before I was old enough to understand that they were written as a religious indoctrination vehicle. There could be something seriously wrong with your date.

Oh god, I saw the Beverly Hills Chihuahua trailer today. It's like if Look Who's Talking Too and Legally Blonde had sex and this was their aborted fetus.
I saw this trailer before Wall-E. It got so bad I literally looked at the floor and plugged my ears.

I was in The Disney Store and this trailer came on and my 7 year-old daughter went nuts. Mark my words - it's going to be HUGE.

Yeah. Seeing that trailer was the only bad thing about WALL-E. I don't know what I would do if I had a small child that wanted to see it. I don't think I could make myself go to it.
I think Judge Smails is right. This thing is going to make a ton of money - and I hate that. It makes me think that the human race really does deserve to die out.
