On why kissing should be avoided when dating: "You have to remember, if God hasn't picked this person for you, your lips are on another person's mate. If you were married already and someone kissed your wife or husband, you'd be pretty mad!"

Can you imagine the kind of awkward, uncomfortable, perhaps even anatomically incorrect, sex these people will be having when they finally tie the knot at like age 30 after allowing themselves no sexual experimentation whatsoever? These are probably the same people who wear special pajamas and sleep in a cold room to help reduce the temptation to masturbate. If they can't even get themselves off, how could they possibly get another person off?

Why are these extreme abstinence women so determined to make it from cradle to grave without ever reaching sexual climax?

one of my best friends in the world decided to join his family in being an orthodox jew after years of life in the conservative lifestyle. (along with years of drugs, partying, and a LOT of fun in Santa Cruz, CA).

he became betrothed to a woman who was what they call Shomer Neghia, which means that he could not touch her at all, not even hand holding. But because he could hug me and touch me in friendly ways, she became very jealous of me.
It seemed so strange to me that this person I knew had had girlfriends and experiences would be marrying someone who was so naive to the world.

Yeah - I know it's not quite the same, but I know a lady who is Indian. Her husband had been living in the US for several years and he dated and so on. She started just hanging out with a boy from her school, and her parents immediately married her off to this guy she had never met. Not to get all up in arms about sexism and double standards, but besides the obvious unfairness of such an arrangement, I think it would be really awkward to have such a disparity of sexual, heck, even life, experience going into a relationship like that.
