I need to figure out a password encrypted in asterisks that has been saved in my browser for a long time, because I know it is the same password for an e-mail account of mine from years back I've been trying to get in to.

I've been looking at the Password decrypters, but most of them are BS...anyone know a way of going about this?

Seven, I think.

it's "password". hope that helps.

I've used that as one of my passwords before, actually.

I don't know...there a couple e-mail addresses I wanted out of that account, that I'm not sure I can get again, but I've been racking my brain trying to come up with how to do this, and I can't come close to an idea that my work, so I'm about ready to just say forget it.

I've tried the decrypters...I've tried weeding through the source file on the page to see if it's embeded in the code...I don't think anything's going to work.

I don't think there's any data embedded in the source code, don't waste any more time. Those asterisks are often random and don't equate to the same amount of characters. one keystroke sometimes makes two asterisks. You would need some program able to decrypt firefox or IE cached data to pull it out. never heard of such a thing.

Damn, it's in the Exceptions folder.

Good call, but it just doesn't look like it's going to happen.

If Fallon's fix doesn't work, google Snad Boy's. It's a good password revealing program.
