This is a video of Philadelphia in 1955.
Us from Philly and the surrounding areas will get a kick out of it and wonder at all that has changed (Camden was equally industrious and prosperous!?)
But I'd imagine many U.S. cities were like this in 1955. Such potential. It must have been a good time to grow up. A real feeling of pride and accomplishment across the country. Now that's old school.
