I have a recent and odd fear of prolgoned periods of really heavy rain. I didn't have it until I recently discovered my house needs a new roof and has a few leaks and my finished basement has had some minor flooding before we ripped out drywall and found a large crack in the wall from floor to ceiling. The roof is getting redone soon and the crack was fixed and the basement has been good for a few months but I still get a feeling in the pit of my stomach every time I hear the weather guy call for like 2 inches of rain.
Ditto though on Fez's sleeping with the windows closed. I can't sleep with an open window unless it's really hot and there's no AC

I have been in those situations where my eyes are open, and I am trying to wake myself up. I always end up trying to sit up in bed, and it is like I have 300lbs on my chest.

I only have restless leg syndrome when having my teeth worked on at the dentist. I had my eyes closed once, and kicked the whole tray off the water sink connected to the chain once. So embarassing. :sad:

I've had that happen too! It's especially bad for me since I have really bad eye site so when I take my contacts out and wake up in the middle of the night the chair next to my bed covered in clothes looks like the outline of a person. There was one night where at about 3:30 am the paper guy threw the paper to my porch and it hit my storm door so hard it woke me up and then i looked over at the chair and freaked out for a second. Wasn't until a few seconds later that I looked out the window and saw the car stopping and delivering papers to the other houses that I pieced it all together.

I had another sleep issue I remember from my youth.

I was sleeping one afternoon. I had my cordless Radio Shack phone and my beeper/pager next to my bed on a night stand. I remember my pager beeping, and then turning it off.

I woke up, and saw my pager on the floor destroyed and in pieces, and my phone laying next to it. Apparently, I took my phone by the antenna, and sorta flailed it onto my pager over and over and over until it shut off.

I havent' had any angry wake-ups since. ....That I know of. DUHN DUHN DUUUUUUUUUUHN :furious:

the better synch up is to do the Pink Floyd song Echoes to the final segment of 2001 A Space Odyssey "Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite". The lyrics don't match (talk about underwater while the space stuff is going on) but the song matches up to the changes in the film almost perfectly and lasts basically the same time as that segment of the movie. very cool way better than the WoZ dark side thing.

If I wanted to listen, I either had to stream or sit in the car. My cheap li'l car radio picks up KROCK clear as a bell, but we can't get any FM stations on our stereos in the apartment.
