I am sharing this because I am fucking excited about my new gig. I have been basically in the food industry (cooking/sales distribution) for the last 8 years. I basicaly lost my passion for it and wanted to move on. I sold my house and quit my job two months ago and followed my heart. I wanted to work with animals, but I had no experience except having pets.
I said fuck it and let me take an interview with the Seeing Eye and I nailed it. My whole job is taking care of dogs all day and helping them become trustworthy animals to lead the blind through life. I took a hit from my last salary but I don't even care. I will be working with the animals for a living, so much better than dealing with annoying people.

Men don't, hippies do.
Yeah, bills will be paid and I still have money from the sale of the house.
Also, I do not pay into my medical, dental, vision or life insurance. Its all covered, and the have an in house chef for breakfast and lunch all included

This is very exciting for you.... and inspiring for me, so thank you for that, kiddo.
Best of Luck!!
Of the pathetically tiny number of things I've learned in life, one of the biggest is that it doesn't matter what a person does for a living as long as that person loves what they do. There is nothing worse than the feeling of dread in the morning thinking about "work"...
Good for you Boss. Now get out there and help make the world a better place!

Why are you people praising this lunatic. He's working with blind dogs so they don't know who it is consistantly raping them.

that is great, boss! i must say that i wish i could follow my passion as deeply as you have. you are doing a great and helpful thing, training dogs for the blind. i actually bought a dog from a place that trained dogs for the blind ( he was too social with others so he couldnt partake with the blind) its just a great service.

Congrats Budday!!!
I did something similar - took a substantial pay cut, but I like my job a lot better now and am not going completely nuts. There is a lot to be said for liking what you do and not wanting to cry every day you wake up for work.
Best of luck to you.

I didn't need further proof that you were the most wonderful man in the world, but I'm glad everyone else now knows it too.
You're going to be the greatest seeing eye dog trainer ever!
You'll see!!!
Love you sweetie, and good luck.

Congratulations on finding what it is you want to do, then having the balls to change the status quo to get there. You're a better man than most, you sexy bitch.
