Airmiles, not just for flying....

I just ordered a 42" Sharp Aquos LCD TV from Airmiles. It took almost 4 yrs to collect enough miles (14,600) but we did it. I had to buy 400 miles to top up, but it only cost me about $125, not a bad deal.
I try and wait until it is a bonus miles week to get my groceries and in the past month they had mega bonus miles if you bought $300 in groceries (which is not that difficult, check out the price of groceries thread) you got 750 airmiles on top of what you would normally get.

So what stuff have you used your Airmiles for?

I bought a pair of Bose media speakers a few years ago, That's about my only airmiles purchase. No wait... that was Visa points... or was it?
Shit... Now I look like an uninformed jackass.

Oh yeah.... when I was younger (2 years ago) and didn't have much money I cashed in all my airmiles and got $500.00 worth of Gap Gift Cards so I could buy my wife and kids clothes.

TV arrived today. I had it sent to my work because I wanted to make sure I was around when it arrived, don't need it to "go missing" in transit. So it is sitting in my empty salon just crying to be let out of the box. Gonna have to wait until we finally get moved to crack that baby open and set it up! Best $125 I ever spent!
