Then again, sometimes radio is a quirky thing that not everybody understands because the line between reality and show is constantly floated upon and usually everybody just rolls with it, but some things just hit too close to home and you can't just roll with things when you actually want to make a point about something because it's too important to you. Opie didn't destroy anything- these guys are friends. They'll work through it. If you call sticking up for your girl and trying to be serious and Anthony just doing what he does on a regular basis and the line of serious getting temporarily blurred being mentally unstable, then count everyone that has ever or currently works in radio as unstable. The job fucking sucks sometimes but most people in the biz will tell you it's all they want to do in life.

You know, if I could have a real moment for a sec, we all go to work, listen to the show, go home, and that's it. Some people's involvement with the show is MUCH more than just going to this message board and they go out to events and meet up with eachother, meet people from the show, etc etc. There is a much broader line that people just don't get- the business of entertaining people REALLY FUCKING SUCKS at one point or another because you lose the line of reality and entertainment sometimes when REAL actual raw emotion is involuntarily involved. Aside from the money and the fame comes a fucking relentless spotlight that unfortunately people just don't get unless they're in it. These guys are ALL friends. FRIENDS! Have you ever tried to combine business with friends? You go into this business with the people you think can work with you the best and just try to entertain people, you try to build a show from the ground up, and you ALL go through hell together. You go through your highest AND lowest moments together, and usually you don't let people see a certain element of what you do because it's not what you want people to see. Please try to cut these guys all some slack. Please try to not add to this and step outside of being a fan of a show and bring some humanity to this situation. They'll work it out among themselves.

I think the difference is that the attack is toward Opie's fiancée who has not made herself part of the show or put herself out there in any way. If the sex tape story was about Opie being in the tape and not his fiancée, then I would agree.

That's it. They have said before that they do not have to be silly for the whole show. Anthony himself has said that the show can be serious at times and the jokes don't have to fly from start to finish. Opie was being serious and it was 100% clear that was what he was trying to do. Anthony just did not see it or did not care. Anthony getting mad at Opie is proof that He is the Mentally Unstable one.

I listened to the replay twice yesterday (mostly because I was hoping that yesterday would be the day they cut out the 18 hours of O&A and gave R&F equal air time... I was wrong but I'll do the same again today) and I got a little curious about the topic of the phone call he got... most likely his chick.... neither here nor there.

I sat with a cringe feeling; just recalling the feeling one gets when someone is going crazy and you can do nothing but sit there and put your head down until it's over. I could only think to myself "poor Jimmy".

Then I chuckled cause Opie said the 'guy' has nothing on Jimmy.... What could he have on him? Jimmy openly says he likes escorts and shit on his chest... there's really nothing to uncover.

It was an audio clip from the "The Surreal Life" where he gets completely drunk. You almost can't understand what he is saying because he is slurring and repeating it so quickly.

opie got mad at anthony for making a giggle joke to lighten up the mood.

And good for him because we've been subjected to "worst ofs" on the XM side of the show for about a week, and when they were live we were being "updated" on the same story-in case of the new listeners, which Opie always assumes there is about 10,000 more each day in order to justify repeating the same story over and over to "update" them.

Anthony was being very annoying with his "jokes."

No, Anthony was trying to steer the ship away from the topic, knowing that even though we are on Opie's side, we are getting tired of hearing about it, with no payoff. He's not even allowed to say "BEN SPARKS" on the radio show, much less tell us what he is actually doing legally to the Post, Chaunce or Ben at all. If there is nothing new to mention, or if you spend more time explaining what Chaunce said in the initial story then you do reading the follow up story by Chaunce, things are going wrong.

I'd like to see Opie just take off for a while, to get the shit done. It would be good for him, and for the show. He can kill these idiots in court quicker if he spends all his time on it. Even if it means no live O and A show for a week, it's fine with me. I just want him to get it done, so it's over with.
