Our Governor, the tanned Charlie Crist will now have to sign the bill officially and will most likely become an actual law on May 1. TRUCK NUTS are now an illegal traffic infraction in the State of Florida. There are a few points to consider with this:
This was a big enough problem to warrant the passing of a law. I see these all the time down here and the person driving the truck is more often than not an asshole. (just by the looks of him)
Will this pave the way for other laws / infractions like the giant tailpipe or the huge wing that is bolted on the trunk of a honda or some other import vehicle?
It seems silly that we have to pass a law like this. It prompts me to think that if enough people are offended and complain to their elected officials; the elected officials will inevitably cave and pass laws like the banning of TRUCK NUTS.
Will people with one tennis ball over their trailer hitch now be subjected to the 'John Kruk Rule' when a police official rules on TRUCK NUTS?
These are all points to consider with the banning of TRUCK NUTS. I have family in Tallahassee (our capital) and it is funny that the last time I was there, I noticed an overabundance of TRUCK NUTS in the Sheriff's parking lot. All of the cops there have them on their truck.
Insert the 'Florida is the state that looks like a penis' joke here....
I love my State.
