Are you doing anything for Earth Day?
Planting a tree?
Recycling old bottles, newspapers and plastic grocery bags?
Pondering buying a hybrid vehicle?
Burning a styrofoam cooler?

Regardless if you are Republican, Independent or Communist, Earth Day does have its good points. Even if you think the issue of Global Warming is just a farce, it should not matter on Earth Day. I am doing everything from the list above today, with the notable exception of burning a styrofoam cooler.

I think that counts as "recycling." Especially if you're using cut-up magazines.

My dad says that on the first Earth Day in 1970 a kid at his school (and it was a Catholic school) hid a bike somewhere on campus and rode around during the lunch hours shouting "Happy Earth Day!" ... he loves that story.
