View Full Version : Pulling Nose Hair

I like to keep the inside of my nose tidy.

When I feel a straggler I pull it out. Now I find myself waiting to find randomly missed nose hair.

It really hurts, but I love finding noes hair to pull out.

I know that I am a freak. I just wanted to know who feels the same as I do.

I own something similar. It feels like cheating.

I have a friend... YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE... who pulls his nose hairs out constantly. It's annoying because he never gets it the first time... or the second... or the third... you see a pattern here? And it looks a lot like nose picking, but with a very violent pulling motion.

I don't know why this annoys me, but it does.

my Dad instead of trimming his chest hair with a trimmer would burn the hair with matches... smelled god awful

probably not a good idea to burn nosehairs though

I got this in a per store. Its made for pulling hair from a pets ear, but I use it to pull small hairs out of my ears. I wouldnt recommend it on your nose though.

Not with nosehair, but I constantly pull my eyelashes out. Otherwise they fall out on their own and get lodged in my eye, which is uncomfortable. So I have reached a point where I just yank on them several times a day in case any are loose. Then I read one day that if you pull your hair out it's called trichotillomania, and became mildly concerned that I had some kind of disorder, but then I realized I had consciously decided to do it, and for a specific reason, and I wasn't pulling the rest of my hair out, so it was probably okay.

I can stop any time I want.

Sure you can.

I used to rub my eyes so hard that my eyelashes were constantly coming out. It was before my contacts and mascara, and once that hit I stopped. I still think nothing feels quite as good a good, vigorous eye rub.

I like to do it when I'm alone in my car.
I get bored.

I agree. They always say, don't rub your eyes, but they also say, don't stick stuff in your ears. And I had an audiology major roommate in college who told me that's just something they all say so they won't get sued.

If you do it just right it makes you sneeze, and who doesn't love sneezing? Sometimes I just sit and make myself sneeze for 10 or 15 minutes straight. If my nose hairs are freshly trimmed, I'll stick a pencil or pen up there and tickle the upper hairs. It feels so good.

Try a pin. Just a little poke up there and it makes you sneeze almost instantly. Sneezing must be closely related to orgasms, right? Cuz seriously, it feels just as good sometimes. It doesn't feel good when it's building up, but when you let it go... KAPOW!!!!

I love pulling a super long nose hair! The long ones never hurt at all when I pull them. I guess they're about ready to go. What's weird is the pure white ones I've been getting the last 10 years. I know I've got gray on my head and facial hair, but these are pure white. It started right around the time I was have the "coke issues".

Mine died 3 weeks ago and I haven't been right since.

2 good uses for nose hair:

1. As eye moistener, when you run out of eye drops or saline solution (eyes watering when pulling nose hairs)

2. As a makeshift toothpick or dental floss.

Also, do you notice that only one eye waters when you pull a nose hair? Mine is normally the left eye, but I think this might be because I normally pull from the left nostril.

Which eye (or both) of yours water when pulling nose hairs?

I do only as necessary. The long ones can drive you crazy with the itchiness.

Ronnie style: Wow...

Any time we had rice with dinner, my dad spit rice with great adeptness from across the table onto my forehead and hair. He was a constant challenge.

I've generationally edited that out of our mealtime activities and so have made the world a better place in my own small way.
