i have watched every year since i was about 5 (ran it 3 times years ago).

anyhoo, cheruiyot (last years winner) has this little moroccan guy being a pest and running right next to him, the guy is staying so close they are bumping elbows sometimes even, every time cheruiyot tried to move away they guy follows and sidles right up to him again, he is a real sidler i guess :P

cheruiyot keeps looking over at him like he wants to belt him, getting late in the race, it would be pretty sweet to watch these guys battle right to the finish. there are 2 other guys right with them and 2 more just got dropped a bit.

lol every time i mention something regarding sports lately the exact opposite immediately happens, as soon as i posted cheryuiot made his move and blew the race wide open. he is right on course record pace but running alone now so it might be hard to maintain.

i bet this russian ginger chick that is leading has a fantastic ass, her abs are insane. she isnt going to win tho, too stocky, i can feel her legs getting heavier by the second just looking at her. (btw since i said that she is a lock to win now, call vegas and see if you can still get a bet in).

Fights in marathons? All the time. The start especially.

I'm guesing others have run some race that gets thousands; the start is fucked up everyone is pushing and shoving and someone always goes down and bleeding and who the fuck has the baby carraige get out of my way you asshole on the skates. Always shouting, and shoving, so fights, hell yeah why not.

It's scary actually when its 10,000+ youre in an ocean of hopped up people all reeking of nerves so its hard not to get caught up in it.

hey mike, yeah i have run about 10 so i have seen the pack craziness, was more referring to incidents on the course between elite runners. nothing happened tho, cheryuiot got sick of it and dropped the hammer on him. im guessing you are in NY? ever run boston?

that was probably the greatest women's marathon ever, i certainly have never seen a better one, the stockier heavy footed russian chick against the slimmer light footed african girl. i didnt think the russian would still be in it but she almost had it, maybe if the race was 1/4 mile shorter. well even then i guess Tune would have made her final move sooner, she had plenty at the end there.

and there is cheryuiot with his 4th boston win, great race by this moroccan guy, he finished closer than i would have thought just about a minute and a half back.
