We did this before - I think in the Cell Phone thread. I know I posted something, but not sure which SN it was under. Run a search for Freitag and Tenbatsuzen, search terms XM Phone Voyager

I think the main problem is that it can get very very expensive with the data involved.

XM offers service through Blackberries now. (http://www.orbitcast.com/archives/xm-now-available-on-blackberry-smartphones.html)

It's only 20 of their channels, but one of them is 202. I tried the one day trial, and it worked fine, but I had to restart the stream a few times. I didn't go with it, because even with an unlimited data plan, there's an extra $8 a month on top of all of my other XM sub fees. It's not much, but probably not worth it for a service I'll rarely use.

If you have unlimited data, just use the Music Dock like reilly said.

I didn't think that was available for Blackberries, but I'll check it out.

Yeah, it's just a website that you have to trustingly logon to your XM online through. I've used it for a year now, and no probs. It just runs the XM online stream through your mobile Windows Media. Maybe there's the rub w/ Blackberry?

to use musicdock.com, you need to be able to play wndows media files. I listen to it every day on my i760.

Yeah, XM has a deal in place for certain phones. I think the Blackjack is one.

I can listen through my online xm account via a mobile streaming site. However, I do have mobile windows and media player to make it happen.

*edit,
I think in the day an age of unlimited data phone packages it is rediculous to pay additional for XM streaming when most people already have an online account.

**edit

Also, I found this little gem yesterday.. tinytube.net is a search engine of many of the popular video sites (including those video sites), and it supports streaming to pocket formats. It allows me to search videos from my iTouch that may not be supported otherwise.

I took a look, it's similar to a phone Verizon has - one question though - how do you make a phone call with it? I see no keypad.

Ugh. That's where you lost me. Touch screens are designed for people with fingers like the aliens in "AI".

If I didn't have my MDA & XM Streaming, I don't know how I would get through a single day at work.

GVAC & Reilly, if you want to get your Wing pimped out anytime, just let me know. Check out Leticia's some time.

I had the xv6800, the Verizon version of the Wing and it was a piece of junk. i switched it up for a i760 and like it a whole lot more. In addition to the slide out keyboard, there's even number buttons on the front.

I'm pretty sure the XV6800 is a bit different than the Wing, most notably it has a processor that is twice as fast. I'm sure though it wasn't noticeable as all US providers effectively cripple HTC phones with tons of garbage. I would have liked to play around with that and unlock its full potential.

Any of the Verizon smartphones should be able to do it.
