BC Rich is still around, or back again like Dean guitars, not sure about now but back then a solid reputation; some swore by BC Rich; some swore at them.

The Taylor 12 is nice indeed.

Musical Instruments are one of those things that if properly done, you sould never, Ever buy new from the Retail Giants. Why, when Someone out there has it, in good enough condition, and needs to sell it; for a lot less then new. Hence nice eBay stores like this. Its the Circle of Life for Musicians; we all buy and sell all the gear, we fondly remember cherished guitars sold for a pittance and sorely missed, effects pedals hocked for a bag of weed and now discontinued and worth hundreds/thousands, the amp you swore youd never sell until the bills piled up, hence the musicians curse...

HALO doesn't sell replacement parts, so, if you can score it or something that'd fit (i'm seriously pondering a gibson paddle-head at this point), let me know if you have any grand ideas. To have it custom done will be $450, and, i'd rather buy a ESP F-250 for that.....
