I've always been really strange with my weight/diet/body. I'm 5'9 and 130, I'm skinny. Very conscious of my image.

My diet normally consists of soup, salad, sushi, smoothies. I eat fast food once or twice a month when I'm being cheap, and even then, I'm smart and get Wendys nuggets and mandarin oranges. A normal day would be yogurt in the morning, go out and get a salad for lunch, then grab a salmon roll from my local sushi place for dinner. Sometimes I don't even eat that much, and get a bigger salad for lunch and have cheese & crackers for dinner. If I ever snack, I have light onion dip with carrots and celery. Weekends consist barely eating anything during the day; going out with friends at night and grabbing dinner together at wherever and getting a big steak or chicken meal.

Recently, I've been craving for food. Even when I'm not hungry and I know I shouldn't eat, I just feel like eating something. My mind is almost always thinking I'm hungry but I'm not. I haven't changed anything about my above diet in months.

I don't work out (I used to but work and classes and traveling really take up time) but I exercise, or thats what you can call it. I walk a lot 5 days a week. Usually from Times Square (42) up to 60th, and then back or even further to Penn or 14th.

So..... I'm not sure. Why am I hungry all the time?

Maybe it's your body telling you that it needs more than you're giving it.

Or maybe more frequent meals.

Do you eat regularly enough? 3 meals with some healthy snacks in between?

You are burning more calories then you are taking in (simple answer). You obviously eat healthy but think about switching up your normal food intake. Im not saying eat more fastfood, however I am saying throw a different type of meal in there every once in awhile. You are a bit waifish (from your description) and can afford to throw a few more calories in there, but if that weirds you out eat more bread products/pasta (whole wheat for you) its a good filler. PM me and I can suggest a few things that I have made that are easy and really healthy.

Sometimes we confuse hunger with thirst. You may not be drinking enough. See if drinking some water or juice or something makes your pangs go away.

But, as the others said, you are a little on the light side. It couldn't hurt to add a little to the diet.

You eat NOTHING. Have a steak once in a while. Some pasta, a chicken sandwich. SOMETHING. You're basically grazing on finger food.

Are you image conscious meaning you think you're too skinny? Or you're afraid to get fat? Or what?

I'm like you Flea_Man, I eat three meals a day but still find myself hungry so I snack but only on "healthy" snacks like pretzels, yogurt, dried fruits, etc. I noticed it more the last few months since I started working out again. And I always have a glass of water on my desk.

Well I'm very worried about getting fat. I don't know why but I'm just petrified of my weight and very conscious about what I eat. I wish I ate more pasta and steak and chicken, but I usually reserve that for the weekends. Also, I don't have a lot of money to spare to go out and buy meals every day and I don't have time to cook in my dorm kitchen (there's one kitchen for 3 floors so its always busy. I might start doing this again though).

Leticia, I try to eat three meals and maybe a snack like a 100 calorie bar or something in there. I'm usually that way except on weekends when I eat a big meal of whatever I want, like a steak and chicken combo. Jauble, that's my fear though. I don't know if I'm burning off a lot. Cruelcircus has a point that I should probably drink more water and stuff. I have milk and juice though so I'm good for home. I think I'm gonna ask my doctor about it and my weight. Sometimes I think I'm fat but I'm not and I get self conscious. I'm also on Accutane so maybe that is throwing off my eating habits as well? Dunno. That's why I'm asking RF.net hahahaha
