There is a tune that has been stuck in my head ever since I was a child of about 3 or 4.
I had a children's record that I think told a story of a train. The cover had a train coming over a mountain and there were barns and farm yard animals all around it. The train had a face on it, of course.
I can't remember all the words... nor the entire song. I only remember "...there'll be cows and chickens, and lots of pigs to feed, we'll sing Old MacDonald and let's be on our way, we're off to the country, off to the country, oh what a lovely day..." and then the train would blow it's whistle.
I have no idea what it was. And that melody pops into my head all the time. Weekly, sometimes daily. I think it always will be until I hear it again, and that is doubtful since I don't remember. It's like a curse!

The caller wasn't talking about that. From: http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20080319/172617589.shtml
First we had ABC thinking that not allowing people to fast forward through commercials on a DVR-type product was a good idea, and now comes the news that DirecTV will automatically delete Pay-Per-View shows you record with your DVR after 24-hours. This is apparently at the request of the major Hollywood studios who have decided that the best way to build up an audience is to piss them off by not allowing them to record the movies that they legally paid for via PPV, and then chose to record and time shift. Time shifting is perfectly legal, so there's absolutely no legal reason for DirecTV to ban the practice. As for the Hollywood studios, this is more backwards thinking. One of these days, someone in Hollywood is going to realize that pissing off your loyal customers isn't a good idea.

I'm amazed that AOL is still around. I bet the majority of people who still pay those assholes only have it FOR the email.

I really like ESD, and his presence on the air. I do think he needs to take more of a back seat, and he has to stop the O&A shtick. They are gonna use him until it gets old, then stop bothering with him. They want him to be Tom Green, not ESD. It's crap.

I was involved in a discussion where someone asked why it's not OK to club baby seals, but it's perfectly OK to have an abortion. Or rather, I sat back and held my head in my hands during the entire, so-very-not civilized debate.

the only really big problem i have with the death penalty is that it drains the system.
appeals cost big bucks and usually only delay the inevitable.
and the fact that there are a certain percentage of innocent people on death row.
but that is highly debated.

The big problem with the death penalty is that we devise the most expensive way imaginable to kill one stupid fuck. We'll start vaporizing pricks with a giant laz0r (air quotes) after 20 years of appeals before we decide firing squads after the first or 2nd appeal would be more cost-effective. As Chris Rock said, "it costs nothing to stab a motherfucker"
