I've been doing night audit at hotels for about 3 years. I don't sleep a lot, and I get privacy, so it's a pretty sweet gig. The place I'm at now is a business class, and usually I just get suit and tie assholes trying to get some coke off me. But every spring and summer, just like roaches, GYPSIES. They ALWAYS bitch about rates, they always have complaints, and they always try to get a free room. I've gotten pretty good at telling which people are gypsies, but tonight, I was put in a corner. We have about 7 cars in the lot, and have about a hundred rooms. I usually just say that we are sold out, but didn't have that as an option. This dude already complained there is no fridge in his room. I asked if he had food or drinks that I could store down here, and he said, "No, that's not the point though". The vermin fuck is already making complaints to get a free room. The next step will be claiming that he made a wake up call, and it didn't get sent through. Then it will be the bed linens were fucking nasty, and he was up all night itching. Then, housekeeping will go in the room and all the sheets will be missing, blankets, pillows, all of it. I've seen it all a million times. I've had to keep there kids from going in the pool while the wives lie in bed, all fucked up on pills. I even listened to a drunk gypsy regretably talk about fucking his first cousin before. FIRST COUSIN! I really wish these scumbags could be wiped from the earth.

I say give him a wake up call. Count to 5 and then I think thats when he wanted it.

It's worse to get them in a bar though...

1- they all want to start tabs without credit cards...and if you open a tab, they never ordered anything that's on it (at the end of the night).

2- You cant let customers' money sit on the bar or they'll try to snatch it.

3- They drink till they puke, fight, or both.

4- The women dress like hookers, and the guys fight with them all night. If a regular happens to start talking to one of the women, there's no problem as long as the regular is buying (for all of them). Otherwise, it's a war. If a customer tries to stop an argument between a Gypo couple...they'll both turn on the customer and forget what they were fighting about.

5- They've ALL put $5 in the jukebox and it didn't work.

6- They call cabs just to keep sending them away...("we're not ready yet, Boss") And when they finally do get in one and leave they usually stiff the guy.

7- The only way to make sure that they're out of a place at the end of the night is to lock them out when they all go outside to smoke.

Gypsies were the bane to my existence when I managed at Chuck E Cheese

They would

1. Rip open a token box of a Child's Game and steal Tokens

2. Bring their own cups to use at the Beverage Station

3. Bring their own Plates or steal our plates from the Delivery truck order to get free salad

4. steal tickets to redeem prizes from young children

5. Steal Pizzas from the service window

6. purposely come in 1 hour before we closed ( saw that we were cleaning up to get home early, then ransack the place. Also would not leave and would wat for us to call the cops then leave before they came.

7. use their 12 and 13 years to flirt with the kid workers and even us managers to try and get free stuff, pretty much whoring them out for pizza

I admire the self-initiative Gypsies posess... they're so resourceful and cunning and always finding a way to get one over on people... This opinion would completely change the very second I am a victim of one, and don't get me wrong, they're scum, but for now, I can't help giving them a little bit of credit for their efforts.

Freeloaders and scam artists. Mostly preying on the elderly. The worst of the worst. I still remember the day my Dad ran them off our street after trying to "repave" my elderly neighbor's driveway.

I have to deal with this constantly...

They smoke like chimneys and put like 12 in a room. Usually can't use the room for 2 days after they leave. Steal every pot, pan, lamp, etc. that is not tied down so they can sell it at some Gypsy Flea Market.

We added "maximum occupany" and "no smoking" riders to are reg. card so we can double and triple their room rates while they are here if they pack 'em in and tear up the place. I NEVER give them a discount when they complain. If you have a working credit card, signature on reg. card and riders and written reports from staff on the conditions found in rooms, nothing they can do to dispute it.
