A week ago, Joe Siegel's heirs were awarded half of Superman and all related properties (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=13067). This is huge, since Superman is the icon of DCU. I'm sure DC will appeal, but do you guys think this will affect Superman production/merchandising or will be looking at a character like Shazam replacing Superman in the DC media?

Superman is DC's main guy. I don't see them replacing him (though it's possible).
Ultiamtely, I think there will be a settlement with the Siegel's giving them a shitload of money.

I nominate Matter-Eater Lad as the new face of DC.

Why would the Siegels give money? Don't you mean DC/Time Warner giving them money?

Batman is already heavily marketed, but if they stop with Superman, they need something to replace him with. A replacement for him in the "big 3" of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

I think "Sinestro, Batman and Wonder Woman" has a nice ring to it.
