I went to my nutritionist today to work out a new spring diet workout routine. I kept myself in fine shape over the winter but I want to turn it up a notch if you will. So i'm 6'3''
weigh 224 lb.s and have a bmi of 18%. I know the bmi because my nutritionist measured different parts of my body and then used a calibrater tot pich the fat to see how much is there.

I went online to a few different bmi charts and typed in my height and weight and I am charted at 28% bmi clinically obese. These charts are complete garbage and I notice that diet experts are using them to tell people how fat they are so they will buy there miraculous diet plan.

Are you criss-crossing fat percentage and body mass index? The calipers measure fat- if you carry some muscle, the body mass index is notoriously bad- most athletes would register as obese.

I do carry muscle (very very sexy) which is exactly why the online charts are so off. What I am annoyed by is people like Dr. Ian Smith who when he was on O&A was using the chart to tell callers they were obese even though he couldn't see if they has mscle mass or not. On second thought assuming the aevrage O&A fan is a bit chubby shall we say probably isn't to far off.

they are complete shit. the never ever take into account muscle vs fat. don't go by your bmi. it's a scam. we had to learn about it in school, but even my exercise physiology teacher said it's crap for someone who is in shape.

Nah, you're just overweight. 30 is obese. Keep lifting though, and some day you'll get there! You CAN do it if you stay focused on your goals. Just think someday you might even get up to 50.2 like this fat loser:
