What do you do with little boys? (POOTER: YOU ARE FORBIDDEN FROM ANSWERING THIS THREAD)

I mean I babysit a 7 and a 9 year old who are two of the nicest well mannered kids ever, but lately they get very bored.
We've played the board games: operation, memory, life. We've played legos, we've even exhausted hide & seek.
Its too cold to play outside and too dark by time I get there, but what is something that little boys would find fun?
They even get bored of TV & VideoGames (What's that about?!?)

If anyone has some serious suggestions i'd gladly welcome them. First one to crack a kid toucher joke gets slapped next time I see them (Poot, again, im looking at you)

Teach them to play cards. Pop popcorn, pour some soda or juice and teach them poker and blackjack. Have them bet pretzels or fake monopoly money. You'll be surprised how quick they can pick up on these games. If anyone says it's not right, hey, your teaching them how to add with blackjack. How to mix and match numbers with the shapes of hearts and clubs on the cards. As long as they don't smoke cigars while playing, there is nothing wrong with it. Or play Bingo.

The only time I have a drinking problem is when I don't have a drink

sorry about before but i had to...it was too easy.

but for something constructive...my niece loves to take pictures. get two disposable cameras one day have them take pictures set up scenes, etc. get them developed the next day then when they come over they can make colages, little story books etc. i tried this with my niece and she had a blast.

Gwenny!
Are they into building? Legos used to keep me and my bro busy for hours on end.

Painting with watercolors was a great pastime of ours as well...Doing art gets em thinking and they also have something to give to their parents to put on the fridge when they get home!

Hey Gwen, if you don't think your little kids will go blind I did this when I was a child and remember this from Muppet Babies.

How about putting plastic wrap over the tv and draw on the screen. It was fun and I did it for hours. Maybe that's why I'm blind.

JerseyRich has a good idea. I loved Legos and Tyco and I could do that for hours.

How about trying to build a house of cards or playing CHARADES or MASH. Maybe too young for that.

What about karaoke?

Hope it helps... or the silent game was always good in my opinion.

Gwenny,

Since having a boy of my own, that makes me an expert(Yea-right!)

Anyway, What I used to do was to rip up paper and throw it on the rug(NO kidding) then me and Mikey would crawl on the floor with our eyes shut(scout's honor here) and try to pick up as many pieces as we could in one minute! That would keep us both occupied for hours!! No fooling-try it- I bet it works!!

Gwenny, it's simple:
Break stuff.
Play with fire.
Poke dead animals with a stick.
Swear.
Trust me, it works.

Back in the day, I babysat two
7 year-old twins. I'd bring
them each a Snickers bar.
They'd eat the Snicker's bar,
run around like mad because of
the sugar high, and then crash
by 9pm.

Oh good Lord, they'd be 25
years old by now. NOW I feel old!!

ok so i babysit ALL the timw and i was a camp counsler, chase them and growl and stuff, they will squel with delight, attack them with theire stuffed animals, tell them your going to eat them ( on a side note, when a kid hurts himself tell them, oh well then let me bite off your foot (or whatever) cause then it wont hurt anymore. worked like a charm this summer) unleash the inner kid in you. use their action figures to battle eachother, just go fucken nuts, theyll love it

I used to babysit a while ago and my kids loved playing camping. They had a tent and we would pitch it in the living room, put marshmallows on a stick, and make a "pretend" fire in the living room (although once Zack busted out with the red and brown lincoln logs), sleeping bags, flashlights and we all told scary ghost stories. I know it's dorky but it worked. We also used to color so that when their parents came home they colored them pictures. Cards are fun too. OMG Nack! I love making paper snowflakes! I still do. Got a problem with that hmmm?
