I like Brian Regan ... but this interview kind of seems like a *stand up* act. Odd.
No wonder he was so hard to UnMask!

Regan Rules. Good to hear him on....which means someone is getting arrested, fired, or will be uncomfortable.

When he's on O&A he tends force new topics to set up his material and they let him because he's a big name. Same thing they do with Larry the Cable guy.
I like him more when he's on with Ron cause they've known each other since florida. Ron doesn't care, sees him setting up a joke and hijacks it just to fuck with him. Ron basically teases him because Brian's just a nice guy, it's hilarious.

I don't know that Brian Regan always tries to force the topic path on his own; it's more like a running joke than anything. Callers jump in essentially requesting bits while O&A slyly try to do the same.
I'm not saying that Regan isn't guiding things altogether, but I think it is more pronounced due to the 'tradition' of O&A and the fans forcing his bits.
I will also agree that I like him with Ron - it is some funny stuff.

Yeah it's not as forced or blunt as the cable guy and yes O&A and the callers do often lead him to it, I don't mind it, it just sounds weird injected into the midst of a natural flowing convo.
With the cable guy it's awful.
O&A: Yeah the Yankees lost again, after the game Jeter got into his car in shame...
Cable Guy: Speaking of cars I was driving and got pulled over the other day... T-shirt joke.

I agree. I'd love a couple of days of Spuds fillin in for Opie. It's the sorta thing that could finally put O&A over the top.

Meatloaf?
I can't imagine that they are more pissed than the listeners would have been had Meatloaf actually shown up.

It absolutely does. And does he ever really puke? Seems like he just coughs and chokes and then everybody loses their minds with laughter. The audio of Jimmy actually puking was funny.
