I came across this article on AOL News.
Some interesting tidbits ( specifically that RiteAid stores suck for some reason in Las Vegas )

Eckerds is already gone. They were bought out by Rite-Aid and most stores have been rebranded by now.
Aside from XM, Lenovo is the bitterest pill to swallow. They said they would stay true to the design of ThinkPads and the newest one has major exterior Lenovo branding on it.
I won't be surprised if we get Pokemon branded ThinkPads for the kids in a few years. :glurps:

They've been predicting K Mart to go under for years. I'm not saying they won't. It's just that putting them on the list is like putting Abe Vigoda on a celebrity death pool list.

Lampert, the CEO ran it into the ground. He did the same with Sears. He's not a retailer and has no retail background. He put only $500 million store upkeep and remodel vs. Target's $5 billion. Sears stores are scraping by on old fixtures and dated looking stores. I was hoping Allen Questrom would step on board as the new CEO, but it's not likely. He is a retail miracle worker.

Circuit City has lost $320 million dollars in the last year. Their stock was around $19 a year ago and is now trading at less than $4 a share.

Macy's is another that's been rumored to go under for a while.
They keep closing stores but then opening others.
I've been a Circuit City credit card holder for a long time and I've never looked into bestBuy because it didnt make sense to have both.
I'm even less likely to go there now because they have an awful return, or lack of return, policy.
A guy I work with bought some XBox 360 game, brand new and not from the used section, and when he got home it had a PeoplePC disc inside instead of the game.
They refused to refund/exchange it for him and told him he had to contact Microsoft.
I also just read a story about a couple that thought they were buying an external hard drive and when they got home the box was filled with beans !!!
Again they refused to refund/replace the item.
That's horseshit.
