My opinion... Yes. He reinvented himself and his game this year (actually starting end of '06 season after starting 4 - 8 and finishing with four straight wins), and lead a young team to the NFC Championship game. Anything short of that this year would have been a disappointment.

I hated him when Southern Miss was the "Alabama State Champions" after beating Bama and Auburn in the same year, but I respected the hell out of him, and grew to be a real fan over the years. I temporarity adopted the Packers after they took by Browns away, and living on the Gulf Coast, we get a lot of Farve coverage even in the off season, and I have to say I'm a fan of the man and the player.

He'll be missed.

Around here, he's well remembered for what he did at Southern Miss. They were a school that SEC teams liked to schedule for homecoming games or as a cupcake non-conference game. That changed while Brett was there...

OK, yeah, I know, in the grand scheme of things, Favre rocked the Bears, prison love-style, but I'll take what I can get. I've brought it up before, but nothing summed it up better than seeing a spread in the city paper where one page was a huge picture of Favre, and on the other page was a collection of all the headshots of all the QB humps the Bears have put on the field since Favre took over in GB in a frame the same size as Favre's pic.
