So, I wanna have Pac-Man on my cell phone, but I don't wanna pay $8 for it. Is there a trick to getting games onto your cellphone for free?
(PS - I have Verizon, the company that would charge you for the oxygen you use while talking on the phone if they could figure out how.)

I just pay the money. I got Tetris finally for my Blackberry Curve and I love it and it is soo worth the money, especially when you are bored or waiting around somewhere. It was less than ten bucks, it was not like it broke the bank.

It's not so much the cost of the games. Verizon finds a way to use airtime whenever you play.

Fucking scumbags.

Why would there be air time? AT&T games are yours and I do not think it uses any minutes.. Are you getting games that you play against others?

With Verizon it depends on the game - some reside on your phone, but some are like an internet game that you have to "connect to."

And most of them aren't multi-player; you can get charged for airtime just playing a game of chess.

Luckily I don't play many games...

There are a bunch of free ad supported games you can get if you have net access on your phone. Small ads are displayed before the game starts but they are very minimal and are gone in seconds:

If you have Verizon you are out of luck since they lock down their phones, but if you have any other provider you'll be fine.

There are ways of getting your games online for free.

I use torrents.

Chris put EVERY ORIGINAL NINTENDO game made on my phone.

:)

All you really need is the ability to connect your hpone to your computer and your phone's ability to install games.

Including original tetris...

and family feud!!
and donkey kong!!
and super mario brothers!!!

at least 20 games
they take up so little space.. that i just have then all!
