I've been a pc guy for the last 10 years.. I currently sport a Alienware MJ-12 M7700a, but damn if I cant get those sleek Powermac's out of my friggin head. Maybe its the fact I love, simply love my Apple cinema display. The display on a mac is just better than anything possible on a pc laptop..
If I get a Mac does it make me a bad person?
Oh, how is the progress on windows booting Mac's going? Does anyone have one of these systems yet?

this is a joke right?
pc magazine even jumped on board over a year ago and said the best windows system was a mac.
i've had both machines for years, and have always considered my mac the superior machine.
that all changes if you're a pc gamer or someone who needs to build their own system.
if you want a machine that simply works and you dont have to worry about viruses, get a mac

I understand, my spot is a tad different.
Yeah, this would be for graphics work. Also, I interface with a lot of PC users. No I don't need to play games that much, but I also don't want to re-purchase a bunch of new pieces of hardware and software in order to do my job again. .. like dreamweaver, or routers.
I would likely run windows on it. Anyone with experience in bootcamp?

The MacOS is less vulnerable to virus infection because it's a lesser used OS. Once you replace the MacOS with windows, it has the same vulnerability as any PC running windows.

Yeah, I kinda figure I'm defeating the purpose..

Why would anyone have Alienware and not play a lot of games? Isn't that basically the point of Alienware?
I'm pretty retarded about computers, but I thought that AW was mostly about customizing gaming PC's.

Yeah, I played a lot of everything that needed framerate, and my Maya files need all the power they can get. But, too much time on the mouse and keyboard is not good. I switched to playing games on the 360 to save my wrists.
