Listening to Jimmy's distain for Jericho's alpha male'isms and Patrice's aknowledgment of his and Ron's alpha male status during unmasked got me wondering. Can two alpha males truly be friends or do they eventually have to figure out who is the most alpha?

True, but even without a chick involved there still is competition in everything.

i too am in agreement with furie.
I had two alpha male friends all the way through highschool that never really had any problems with each other till one of them realized that the other had knocked up his wife.
That one kinda broke up the band for a while.
-edit-
Damon and Bruce were the alpha males in my story.
Damon and Liz were married
Liz got pregnant
Baby looked just like Bruce
tests were conducted, friendships were ended along with a marriage.
Names may or may not have been changed to protect the guitly.

yes but until a chick gets involved its just healthy competition

Yeah, but even friendly competition will result in one male landing in second place. I suspect a true alpha male will not compete in something they will regularly lose.

it is hard , it doesnt work in a circle of friends settings
once 2 people try to control everything, they bicker with each other

I dunno. I never thought of it until he got so angry at Jerico for being an 'angry bully, alpha male' type. It was like Jerico's alpha male status was an affront to him. I'll admit its hard to picture Jimmy as an alpha male, but how often does he let anyone get the better of him, especially when its one of the things he is good at.

Is there such a thing as beta male or cappa male? Or would those just be bi-sexuals and homosexuals respectively.

Jimmy is a vocal alpha male as are a lot of the comics that come on. They cant dominate without words so its an odd Alpha type its kind of the smart ass vs the jock. Both Alphas but in different parts of their lives so they can each claim victory in their own circles, i.e. I beat the shit out of him or I made him look stupid in front of everyone. Not to be sciencey (because I shouldn't) but in my opinion its what seperates us from animals is that its not always the biggest that win but it is the dominant in groups that are so similar.
Oh and I'm an ass.
