Man, I just got an Inno, so naturally I started recording RnF. I did not realize it would catalog every commercial and every bit of jibber jabber. Now I have a couple hundred files of junk too.

How do you guys go about picking shows to record and keeping them organized?

Press the menu (center) button when you are in My Music mode. Then select "Find." Then select "By Recording Session." You will have a list of your recording sessions and dates. You can just skip the tracks that are commercials as they come about.

You can also connect the Inno to your computer and use the Napster + XM program to delete all tracks that are less than 2 minutes or so.

That's pretty slick!

I just sort by date. I always have the feeling that I am only using 10% of the Inno functions, but between wasting my time listening to Ron & Fez and work, I have never sat down to figure it out.

Yeah, use the napster lite program it comes with. It only takes a few seconds to delete the commercials and your Ron and Fez show will have 2-4 tracks and Opie and Anthony is around 7-10 tracks.

I'm afraid his mother was a jackal.

But seriously, folks....

Just go with what Fallon said, or, if you record the replays(likes I doos from times to times), you can usually do it on the unit by erasing everything that's not labled "Opie & Anthony - Tuesday(or whatever day it is) Replay" and "Ron & Fez - Weekdays 12-3 EST". (I think you have to do it by going to - "Organize" - "By Artist", and then delete all the commercials) But the way Fallon explained is the easiest way to make sure you don't erase any of the show by mistake. At least on the Nexus.
So why did I write all that nonsense???? Who in the fuck knows????:smoke:

I organize it by length of track. Then you can tell which are commercials or show tracks. Because sometimes a one hour track might be labeled whatever the last commercial was on before the show comes back.

Usually with the replays, the tracks get listed like I said.
Now this is on the Nexus. I don't know how different the pad data is(if at all) with the Inno.
If I record live, I always use the Napster software, because nine times out of ten, the track is going to be labled as the last commercial that was on.

What is the easiest way to see what version of firmware you Inno has on it? I would like to do that hardware update to get the FM modulator working all the time but it says that it will only work on the 2.11 firmware.

shut it off, turn it back on, it'll show on the screen. the new 2.11 hack works for me, but it isn't any more powerful.

Well if it works out of the car cradle thats good enough for me, inside the house I get nothing.

I am having problems with the napster + xm. It says my player is connected but it will not bring up the tracks on my computer screen. I was excited to find this thread as I have been wanting a way to easily remove the commercials. I have tried to use the program "offline" because I don't want to download just organize what I have. The program shows a "waiting" icon but didn't load the info from my Inno in 10 minutes.

Can anyone offer any suggestions.

I think they released a napster upgrade that fucked everything up. I have an XMP3 now (which blows).

Check out this forum, it might help.

I still can't get Napster to load my Inno. can anyone help?
I am about a week behind listening to shows and my Inno is Fukd with commercials.
whenever I record a new show and go back to listen afterwards I have to search to get back to the point I was listening to before. It takes way to long to delete stuff on the inno so I need to make this work on the computer to save some time and get organized.

please help it is pissing me off.
