I was thinking about this watching(and listening) to Brent Jones & some other guy call the Jet's game. I'm a Met fan so for me the days of Kiner, McCarver, & Zabriskie om WWOR is the ultimate. But I will grudgingly admit to you Yankee fans that the Scooter, Bill White, & Frank Messer were a great team. Other favorites include Scully & Garagiola(NBC game of the week) and Marv & John Andriese(Knicks on MSG).

John Davidson!!! JD is the
MAN (rangers tv color).
Obviously you can't have JD
without Sam Rosen... and
you can't have the Rangers
on the radio without Sal
Messina.

Marv Albert is the best!!!!
and I absolutely hate Tim McCarver. I have to go on record and say, that Tim McCarver may possibly be the WORST announcer ever in professional sports. I pray for the day he dies and I can finnaly watch Yankee baseball again without muting the TV

You know who I can't
stand? Kenny Albert. He
sounds just like Marv but
isn't half as good.

He's bad...real bad but in no way is he the worst...ONE man beats him in that department..Stan Fischler...Ugh I despise this idiot. Not only is he annoying but 1/2 the time he has absolutely NO CLUE wht the Hell he is talking about...this man needs to die

And what about Lindsay Nelson,
Chris Schenkel, Phil Rizzuto, Jack Buck, Al Michaels, Jim Lampley, Frank Messer, Jerry Coleman..I'm sure there are many more. A special mention to John Facenda, the voice of NFL Films.

TC, He's even better when on CBC broadcasting other teams. However, he has a great understanding/love for the game and it shows. Just like Darren Pang from ESPN. I hate Bill (homer) Clement! Peter McNabb is cool too. (All hockey)

i dont believe anyone mentioned dennis miller...the guys got no place in a broadcast booth and it frustrates the shit out of me to have to listen to him. he reminds me of most female sportscasters in that he pulls obscure facts out of his ass constantly in an attempt to convince people he knows what hes talking about
there's only one worse than him: the woman that does yankee games on msg

The best announcers in sports are Marv Albert and Bob Costas...
Oh, and Bill Walton should be injected with the ebola virus and die a horrible death just so I can look at him in his ugly face and use his line on his sorry ass, "That's terrible."

Ivy, I'm glad to find another Flyers fan. I lived in Philly for over 20 years and Gene Hart was the best. Richie Ashburn and Harry Kalas were great announcers for the Phillies.
