Does anyone have their own Host assigned to them? And, if so, what's the deal with that?
I've been going semi-regularly for years (every 2-3 months). In recent years I've been going to the Harrah's hotels (Harrah's, Showboat, Ceasar's and Bally's) and have been racking up points on their Comp Card Program. Recently I've noticed that their comps have been getting a little skimpy.
So, in the summer I signed up for the Trump One Card and started going there. Right away I noticed that I started to get free room offers for the weekend where Harrahs was only offering during the week (and I can't go during the week).
About two weekends ago I went to Trump Plaza and did OK for myself. Now, I'm not a high roller by any stretch of the imagination but I won about $1000 at the tables one night and the next I lost about $450. So, I just got a letter from a Trump Plaza host introducing himself and telling me to let him know if there's anything I need. In years of going to Harrah's, including winning a substantial jackpot, I never got a host.
So, what do I do with my host. I'd like to contact him for my next trip in a couple of weeks so that I stay on his radar. What do I ask for? Keeping in mind that I'm not exactly a high roller. Do I shoot for the moon and ask for a suite upgrade, or do I play it cool and just ask for a dinner or something? Anyone have any experience with these guys?
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I only play the tables. In case you were wondering if I was a 60 year-old daytripping grandma who takes the bus down and likes to go to the all-you-can-eat buffets and play the penny slots.
