I need to buy a new smartphone. Verizon takes so long to release new phones. I dont want to buy an outdated device. I am considering switching to Sprint because I cant deal with getting fucked on every Verizon purchase. Does anyone have Sprint and is it comperable to Verizon service? I am just FURIOUS!

THATS FUNNY!!!
sprint has HORRIBLE service areas, as long as you don't leave large metropolitan areas go for it...

i had sprint while in n.j. which was fine, but i knew the second i saw more then a few trees i'd be roaming..... it's even worse here in n.j., and i was forced to move to altell.

and now that verizon has unlimited plans, i'm going to say they'll have an even larger customer base... i have noticed that they are slow to roll out the new phones when they come out, i think they had the new blackberry's 3 months after at&t, but in exchange you get what seems to be the best coverage available.

good luck either way, but seriously if you do any travelling i'd stay away from sprint.

I hate Sprint.

I've been with them for like 6 years and just dont feel like paying the 200 service fee of canceling and getting a new phone/plan.

You have a six year contract? I doubt you will be charged a cancellation charge after six years, unless you upgraded your phone or service in the past 2 years.

I had Sprint a few years ago, and it sucked ass. I live near AC International Airport, and you could watch the signal fade in correlation to the radardome circling. It was that bad. Verizon has the best service coverage down here in South Jersey. I drove from Mays Landing to Salem on Route 40 and was on the phone the whole time, and the quality of the call was equivalent to a landline conversation. And Route 40 runs through Cowtown, which isn't known for dense population or lots of cell towers.

Unfortunately I do travel. So now I will be stuck getting an outdated phone, only to see new phones come out in a month. I paid $500 for the treo 700w when it came out. That piece of shit ran so slowly, they released a 700wx version with more momory. Guess who got fuckeD?

Phones are gonna get outdated. There's no stopping it. Sprint has horrific coverage and customer service. Especially since Verizon's backyard is NJ.

There's plenty of up-to-date smartphonest that VZW has available. I may have to extend my contract to get the new Verizon 9100...

I had Cingular(now at&t) for years which was the worst provider I have ever dealt with. Constantly lost calls. Verizon has been great but yes there selection is smaller. I would rather have a outdated phone that made calls then a new phone that doesnt work.
