It had me until the 7th paragraph, (the guns) but quickly left me at the train station when it went down the racist, homophobic track.

Why can't it be that a story could outline a typical middle aged white guy, and show how he can connect to ideals both the Democrats and Republicans have to offer him, and how he is not interested in a lot of the BS both parties fight about?

Also this article fails to point out how both parties need to do more to reach out to Angry White Guy, and how both parties can accomplish this without compromising the rights and needs of the "special interest" groups they both pander to now.

I like how the article ends with a "I hate Hillary Clinton and hopes she falls in a puddle of AIDS" analysis of why I am not voting for her. The respect he shows to an elected official of the United States Senate inspires me to have hope for civil political discourse when my children are of voting age.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this article a Blech! :thumbdown: :flush:

That article is not much more than a internally inconsistent agglomeration of buzz words that are masquerading as a political philosophy. The right-wing opinion-shapers have convinced their followers that they are Randian heroes tied down by Lilliputians (ethnic minorities, women, Liberals, etc.) when their rightful place is bestride the globe, masters of all they survey. In reality, these followers are having their pockets picked by the entrenched upper class which has more loyalty to their socioeconomic class than their country.

I think there are many differences between men and women, however one of them is not that men are able to hold doors open for longer periods of time.

We have a good relationship, I work full-time and she's essentially a housewife (she also takes care of her mother). She cooks 2 meals a day, keeps the house tidy and handles most of our finances, but that's completely her choice.
