You have to have more than one because it is such crap beer you have to drink at least 6 to feel a little buzzed! I remember as a teen drinking a whole case of this beer with a friend and barely getting drunk.

The actual slogan is "The one to have when you're having more than one." People decided it encouraged binge drinking, so they changed it to "The one to have, when you're out to have some fun". After that, they just shortened it to "The one to have."
