I spent $40 on food for dinner yesterday only to learn that the required atmosphere in our home will be now not be available to us. So i am cooking that meal tomorrow.
I hate Red Bank and all the places therein.

Even Carlos O'Connors?
I find it to be quite nice.
Or perhaps hang out with old pals of ESD at the Dublin House across the street.

I only go there once in a blue moon when they have Irish musicians play. It's actually a pretty terrible bar, only adding to the pretty terrible neighborhood.

How about McLoone's (the Rum Runner one) in Sea Bright? Not too far away from you and romantic. On the river. Piano bar too if my memory serves me right.
The Little German in Red Bank was really good but I haven't been there in years. Check it out first. I think it might have changed hands and I couldn't get a hold of my friends in Red Bank to verify.
Hope I helped.

As long as I get my heart-shaped box of chocolates from my dad, I am cool. I really don't need anything else.
If I don't get that silly little box of Russel Stover chocolates, I get worried that something bad happened to him and that makes me very sad.
(This happened in college once and I started to freak out. Ruined my entire week.)
He threw me for a loop this year and sent a big box of Hershey's Pot of Gold chocolates.
(And he e-mailed me this morning to remind me I should share them with Matty. Silly Dad!)

I didn't do anything special with my girl today. I got her a balloon boquet and a stuffed animal.
She got me two dwarf frogs. Interesting gift and that's one of the reasons I love her. It's icnredibly random.
But we spent our time together at a blood drive. I couln't give because of medicine I'm on, but she did. So I was there for "emotional" support.
I also recorded her a song that I wrote and will be giving her it when she gets home from her school tonight.
It was a good Valentines Day.

Didn't know that there was one in NJ. The only melting pot I knew of was in Deleware.
How long have they been around for?

Valentine's Day was good this year. Every other year, it's been pretty horrible. Last year topped it all, because it was the first that I had a girlfriend, not just someone I was fucking.
Last year, I worked till like 9 geting some drawings out. She was online, counting the hours down, and getting more and more depressed , how every Valentine's is shitty.
I am a bad gift giver. Last Valentine's I gave her books. BOOKS. Like, paperback books. Why? Strand is cross the street. I was like, oh shit, I need a gift, bam, books! Books are a great gift, right?
And it's not like this is the first time I've used books as a gift. For my parents anniversery, I believe I got my mom a paperback on the entire history of the Polish people, for no good reason.
But this year, I made up for it. I got her a nice sterling silver ring from Tiffany's, and we had a nice dinner at our old Italian restaurant around the corner, which is just so delish.
