People's Constant Razzing And Bitching And Moaning And Whining About Lleeder's Literary Tastes Being Stuck In Elementary And High School, Has Gotten Lleeder Thinking, And, Sadly, People Are Correct.
So Lleeder Is Going To Try Read To Some New Books. He Is Asking Any Of You People Who Are Willing To Share To Pick One And Only One Book That Lleeder Should Read.
Do Not Pick One Because You Think Lleeder Will Like It.
Do Not Pick One Because You Think People Will Think It Is Cool.
Pick Only The Book You Would Take With You To A Desert Island, If You Could Only Take One.
Lleeder Will Then Promise To Read As Many Of Them As He Can.

I dont know what you like but if you appreciate dark humor read some of Chuck Palahniuk's books. They are disturbing at times so maybe start with fight club. I've read that one, choke, haunted, and am currently reading rant. But just so I fit in with the rest of the group I suggest:

I love Augusten Burroughs. His books read really well and he's hysterical. I recommend all 3 books in this order.

i've read this 1000+ page book at least 5 times. for a desert island, the length and re-readability of this book is tops for me.

"Still Life With Woodpecker" (http://www.amazon.com/Still-Life-Woodpecker-Tom-Robbins/dp/184243022X/ref=pd_bbs_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1202952330&sr=8-2)
-Tom Robbins
Still Life with Woodpecker is sort of a love story that takes place inside a pack of Camel cigarettes. It reveals the purpose of the moon, explains the difference between criminals and outlaws, examines the conflict between social activism and romantic individualism, and paints a portrait of contemporary society that includes powerful Arabs, exiled royalty, and pregnant cheerleaders. It also deals with the problem of redheads.
