although i don't have any velcro shoes personally, i think it's a great idea. i have some sort of strange shoe tying disorder where, no matter how tightly i tie them or how hard i try, i find my laces dragging and myself tying them over about every block or so. i did i get a pair of sneakers with elastic and boots with zippers, though... changed my life

To answer your question, i think velcro is good for people who are either too lazy to tie shoes, or for people who are constantly on the go and dont have time for shoe tying. If you have velcro, you never have to worry about shoe laces breaking, either.
Finally, velcro is good for those who are of the walking impaired, and who constantly trip over their laces.

i have to go with velcro.

i remeber sometime in the mid to early 80's when puma introduced the first big brand name line of velcro sneakers. i had to have them and did chores till i made enough money to get them. they still some bobo brand that i buy on occasion at kmart.

With Velcrow anytime you trip over a curb or pee your pants in public you could just say you're retard and ride around in short, yellow bus with other people who wear velcrow and nobody would think twice about it. It also helps if you wear a safety helmet with visor and drool alot to highlight the fact that you in fact mentally handicapped, but that's up to the wearer's personal preference.

1. You look like a big kid with shoe laces.
2. If you cant tie your shoes you can alwasy get bow biters!
3. YOu can tie other peoples laces togethre and make them fall and look like a dumbass. You can also give out shoe wedgies. SHoelaces are where its at.

I always use shoelaces, except when I snowboard. I used to think that velcro was for retards and old people who really didn't have the necessary motor skills to tie shoelaces. But then again, sometimes I tie my shoelaces incorrectly and they untie while I'm walking down the street, causing me to look like a big retard. So, I guess it doesn't really matter, just as long as your feet are safely bound inside your shoes.
