Anyone have any news on when this is gonna start? I havent heard or b een able to unearth a thing. I havent even heard when Season 6 is going to be released on DVD...Thanks Flav

Last time Denis Leary was on O&A, he said they were all (Rescue Me, The Shield & that show with Glenn Close) supposed to start filming in January, assuming the writer's strike was ending. I would guess that as soon as the strike ends, they'll be able to get rolling.

According to this (http://tvseriesfinale.com/articles/the-shield-the-end-is-coming-but-not-soon/) and a few other things I've seen, there'll be a final season seven. Should be interesting.

Doesn't The Shield usually start in March? Anyway, I remember reading when the writer's strike started, the final season was already filmed except for the last couple of episodes so I'm sure they'll finish them soon.

I remember reading somewhere about a month ago (I don't remember where, maybe the Star-Ledger TV column), that due to the writers strike they were pushing the final season back to the fall. Too bad, but I prefer they finish up the show right and not rush it.
