Solid character actor. Dude was always gonna bring it when he showed up, even if the movie blew. You could rely on him to give a flick some sturdiness.

What's the difference between a pregnant lady and a light bulb?
You can unscrew a light bulb, too soon.
Anything?

We're gonna need a bigger thread, because I'll bet this 'bigger boat' joke is going to be thrown around at least 35 more times.

[from memory so its off, but I always laugh]
Mrs Brody: Martin hates the ocean. Martin never goes in the water. Martin never gets out of the car while were on the ferry. There's some sort of psychological condition I think...
Brody: Drowning.

your quote reminded me of him in Bob Fosse's "all that jazz". who knew this sullen acting actor had the chops to go so opposite of his usual screen persona. what really freaks me out is this guy seemed so relevant and vibrant yesterday and now he is 75 and dead. he was sort of charles bronson-like in that manner. a lot older than he seemed. to me his best role will always be popeye doyle's back up. he underplayed that role to perfection.
2nd:marathon man. great movie.
