From Essential Wrestling Newsletter:
Early next year the WWF will split it's roster into two divisions, EWN can reveal. According to several sources the split will take place at the MSG Raw in New York on January 7, 2002. During the show Vince McMahon and Ric Flair will likely pool talent turn by turn -- then McMahon's roster will appeal only on Raw, leaving Flair's roster on Nitro (Smackdown). It's believed that The Rock and Steve Austin will be separated following the draft leaving their match at "Vengeance" for the unified World Title interesting viewing to say the least. More on this story as it comes...
The WWF Lottery... Hmmm... shoul be interesting, I wonder where Lance Storm and other Alliance people will fall...

Ugh. I can't see anything good coming out of that. You just know that one side will get all the talent, and the other will get a bunch of boring WCW guys. This is not a good idea. They should just release the Alliance guys and go with the roster that they had before that whole angle. Remember how good Wrestlemania was this year? They didn't need WCW guys then, they don't need them now.

Also Tazz were we watching the same Wrestlemania last year? It was THAT good? Hardly. Maybe I missed something.

Essa Rios and Sho Funaki will be the first two selected in the draft. ;)

Rhyno was in the WWF before the WCW purchase occurred. Kidman and Kanyon I'll agree with you on. They are good. O'Haire was the best thing WCW had going at the end, but for some reason the WWF thought he was pushed too far too fast. But why they kept Palumbo on the air and not O'Haire completely baffles me.
Awesome is ok, but after he f'ed over Paul Heyman, who can possibly imagine him getting any sort of a push.
DDP and Booker T are the two guys at the top of my list to get rid of. DDP should never had been a wrestler in the first place, and now is is just way too old. Booker T is a great tag wrestler, always was, always will be. Unfortunately, he has no natural entertainment talent or charisma. So when it comes to the sports entertainment dominated WWF, he is a huge bore. There is a reason that WCW went out of business, and part of it was pushing Booker and DDP as champions.
Also Tazz were we watching the same Wrestlemania last year? It was THAT good? Hardly. Maybe I missed something.
Wrestlemania 17 was one of the best PPVs ever. A great Austin /Rock match, a watchable TLC match, a cool Angle/Benoit match, a funny gimmic battle royal, and a decent Undertaker/HHH match. What wasn't there to like?

Essa Rios and Sho Funaki will be the first two selected in the draft. I thought it would be Crash Holly and Shawn Stasiak myself, WWFallon.
But why they kept Palumbo on the air and not O'Haire completely baffles me.All indications show that it had to do with O'Haire's attitude and no selling job. Palumbo stinks I know, and know he is grouped with another terrible worker and Mr. No Mic Skills, Billy Gunn! Does anyone care about them? Nope I think not.

You got a good point there. I stand corrected I got it confused with the WM the year before. My mistake Tazz.

You just know that one side will get all the talent, and the other will get a bunch of boring WCW guys.
This is a perfect difference of opinions. Because, way I see it, all of the talented folks ARE the "boring WCW guys". My greatest fear is that the "Nitro" crew will consist of WWF dregs like Billy Gunn or X-Pac.
Booker T is a great tag wrestler, always was, always will be. Unfortunately, he has no natural entertainment talent or charisma.
I could not disagree more! Booker has LOTS of talent (but, I will give you this, he gets lethargic as a heel...then again, it's hard to actually criticize his performance so far in the WWF since he's been jobbed out to just about EVERYONE since arriving. Hard to show one's skills when you're too busy trying to carry the Undertaker to a decent match). AND he has tons of charisma! Fans were cheering for him, even though he was a heel in the Alliance angle. Hell, the Spinaroonie even got a pop! Booker T is absolutely a guy they should keep, and will keep (if you think otherwise, remember he was on TV this past week - almost a sure sign that they plan to do something with him later).
All indications show that it had to do with O'Haires additude and no selling job.
What, did the Undertaker get jealous? Oh wait, he DID. That's why Sean is languishing in indy hell.
BTW, the real reason that Sean has been sent down is because he didn't shake Droz's hand. ;)
Sorry, that joke was waaaay inside.

BTW, the real reason that Sean has been sent down is because he didn't shake Droz's hand. I heard the same story about Mr. Seanton Bomb not shaking Darren Drosdov's hand. Is there any truth to that rumor, Se7en? If it is true that really sucks. I thought he was walking by and missed Droz and then he gets to go the WWF minor leagues. Isn't that great.

T is the man what are you talking about... DDP was the original peoples champion can't blame him since walking in the door he's been the biggest jobber of all time..
Ohare given a chance would be dynamite. palumbo is the biggest loser of all time....

You can always tell the true hardcore wrestling marks, huh, RonFez Mark? ;)
I really don't think he got sent down for that. That was pretty much just a joke that the smarks on the net started. "Oh, he must have got sent down because he didn't shake Droz's hand." I know a guy who went to a recent Smackdown taping with a sign saying, "Didn't shake Droz's hand" and an arrow pointing down to himself...
I guess they just felt that he was too green, and that's why they sent him down. And maybe it was his attitude as well. And maybe it was a bad word from the Undertaker. And maybe there was a second shooter behind the grass knoll, I don't know. I'm just thinking the Droz thing's an internet joke.

Chavo will never be forgotten.
He needs to start a new lWo with Essa Rios, Rey Mysterio Jr when he signs (probably) and bring back Pepe for old times sake.
