The world is being taken by storm by a couple of Optimum Online (a cable company for those of you not from around here) TV commercials. Everyone knows them and everyone has memorized at least the last four digits of the phone number. People who can't even get Optimum want to sign up for the service, they are just that good.
It started a while ago with a Spanish language commercial on stations like Telemundo. Unlike your regular 1-800-OK-Cable commercials which are complete bores and feature some pretty terrible amateur music Optimum has kicked it up a notch, gone all Daddy Yankee on us, and have unleashed some Reggaeton flavor.

It was one of the best commercials ever. Catchy tune, hot chicks, lots of flash and bling, it makes you want to dance. Or maybe make you want to punch your tv, but it will stick in your head.
Spanish TV alone wasn't good enough for them, they needed more, they needed to conquer the English market as well. But perhaps the English people would be scared of the original, it might be too much for them to handle. They had something going for them but they needed to goof it up a little for us to keep us calm. They did and now it's on every day

Everyone now knows that stupid song. They all know the number and they all know the girls with the goofy pelvic thrust. Optimum has made a completely effective commercial and the tri-state area cannot get enough of the Optimum girls.
