What a worthless word in politics at this point.
I don't think it is worthless at all.
the word "change" reflects the desire of the American people to see the policies of the executive branch changed.
Americans are just plain sick of the right-wing fringe which has taken over the Republican Party and polarized our nation, set new recods for deficits and debt, trashed our Constitution, violated their oaths of office and gotten us mired in the Iraq debacle.

Or its just a buzzword. Pretty sure I'm right.

I am quite sure I am right.
Calling it a "buzzword" or a "cliche" does not address the meaning of the word in relation to what most Americans are looking for.
The American people want things "changed," we saw that in the last election and unless something major happens, we will see it in the next one.
The polling and other sophisticated research conducted by consultants and advisors to the leading candidates of both parties have told their candidates to position themselves as the one who is the best agent of "change."
You don't see anyone claiming we need to "stay the course," do you?

When I said 'worthless' I simply mean that every politician is using it, Replublican and Democrat (see the video), so it doesn't carry much 'oomf' to it as a word.

I agree.
Everyone wants to use it, even those whom it doesn't appear would substantially change the Bush administration policies which have doubled the price of gas, led to wage stagnation, given us over $4 trillion in deficits, and gotten us mired in an Iraq disaster that, when the total costs are added up, may turn out to be the greatest foreign policy blunder in our history.
And all you Bush defenders out there, we sure don't see you guys seeking a "Bush Republican" to be the party nominee.........

Yeah.
It's like we've never had a Bush president.
They do nothing but talk about Reagan.
But at the same time, they don't say they'll do anything different than Bush.
I don't understand.
And all you Bush defenders out there, we sure don't see you guys seeking a "Bush Republican" to be the party nominee.........
I never thought I'd long for the old man.

It would be interesting to watch a candidate not say change but merely stay the course, if not for just the boos alone they would recieve

McCain wants to make permanent the tax breaks where the wealthiest get the highest % and is calling for a 100 more years in Iraq. He's also calling for further Corporate tax-breaks.
Corporations are out-sourcing and reducing benefits to help keep the profit margins where the wall street analysts think they should be while the executives continue to receive increased bonuses and pay. So the reality is he's making the wealthiest more wealthy quicker and increasing the poor population by pushing middle-class people out of what were good paying jobs with benefits
he'll be the same as the old boss

McCain is also finding that brown anus ring stain of GW that circles his neck impossible to wash off.
The only real change will come from the Democrats.
Y'think Bush will be invited to the convention?
