17 Finalists are on the ballot. 4-7 of them will be announced on Saturday as the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2008.

First year eligibles are Cris Carter and Darrell Green. I think both are mortal locks.

Art Monk should be in, but could get dicked over again.

If I remember last week's show right, I think Ron theorized that he "wasn't flashy enough". Not that Ron agreed that that's why Monk shouldn't go in. Ron thinks he should. I think he was implying that that's how some idiot writers like Doctor Z vote.

King's whole gimmick was that you didn't "gameplan" for Art Monk, which is absolutely ridiculous...


My whole thing with Monk is that you have to compare him to who's already in there...If James Lofton and Lynn Swann (who is not in the TOP 50 OF ANY ALL TIME RECIEVING CATEGORY) are in the HOF, Monk HAS to be..there's no other way of saying he shouldn't be. Thats his whole case right there And I don't really seem to remember anyone having to "gameplan" to stop Lynn Swann.

Joe Theismann had done an interview on the Junkies about 8 months ago and said that what hurt Art Monk more then anything was John Riggins. When the skins were inside the ten they would run Riggins 3 times in a row. In todays game you throw more on the goalline and Monk is a really big guy in todays game he would have scored more TD's because of this

Monk and Green will get in this year, and that will be great for the skins

reed was amazing for the bills during their stretch of dominance of the AFC in the early 90's. when he retired, he was third all time in receiving yards.

he also has 941 career receptions, eat shit art monk!

cris carter will probably make it in before reed, but reed definitely deserves to be in the hall along side his teammates jim kelly and thurman thomas who are already in. when bruce smith goes up for a vote he will be in too. god damn, i miss those bills teams...

Andre Reed deserves to be in...eventually. Certainly not before Monk and not on the first ballot.

In about 1 1/2 hours, I will be either extremely happy or once again pissed at Monk's exclusion.
