Worst car accessory

For those of us fortunate enough not to live in a major US city, dealing with a daily driving commute does come with ample portion of shit to deal with. Today I was passed by a little fucker with New York plates in a Dodge Neon complete with tinted windows, a loud bassy stereo system and in my opinion, the worst car accessory of all time; the Giant noise-producing tailpipe. I ask you, is there a worse car accessory than the huge tailpipe?

A case can be made for the now popular ball-sack hanging from the rear bumper of a truck, for me, its still the loud and giant tailpipe.

The first car I owned had a suction cup Garfield stuck to the back window. I thought it was a wicked pisser at the time.


A couple of years ago I sarted to see cars that had this strange crossed sword symbol sticker. A lot of times it is so huge that it takes up the entire back window. I don't know how they see out of the window or how it can be legal.

Not knowing what the hell it meant it struck me as looking Klingon in nature. For a while I thought that these were just some Star Trek nerds doing what Star Trek nerds are wont to do. But as I saw more and more of these and noticed that the drivers always seemed to be Indian I realized that I was missing something.

The key here is Dodge Neon. I can't understand when you drive a car where the accessories are worth more than the car itself. I think it's all supid, but at least if someone put spinny rims on a nice BMW I feel like it would make more sense. If you can afford all the crap accessories, why not bypass them and buy a nicer car to begin with.

I was at a red light in Newark a few weeks back and almost threw up because the minivan (yes, minivan) in the lane next to me had those.

Why, in the name of all that is holy, would you put those on a fucking MINIVAN?

And I know which stickers you're talking about. They're usually referred to as "Euro-style" bumper stickers. I started seeing them on VW's for either the Outer Banks or Myrtle Beach, but roll my eyes whenever I see them on minivans ... with LBI on them. Losers.
