NY (NJ) Giants vs NE Patriots. Who you got?

Im not a Giants fan but i would love to see the Giants beat the Pats and ruin this season. (Im a Dolphins fan what else am I to do)

I must admit I'm very Happy for Eli. He gets so much shit and now he gets some credit!

and Pats Giants 1 was a thriller

You fucking idiots who say its going to be boring, should stop being Homers(your skins , jets, etc have shit the bed) so they are not there and the Giants are

the last 2 Giants Wins came down to the final play, one in OT in sub zero conditions

The Giants have won 10 in a row on the road, a new record

I just love how you people bring it back to you, I dont like the Giants , so Ill say it will be boring. Its gonna be a good game, you will hate both teams, and you will be glued to your sets, watching my favorite team kick ass

So, our friend has this big Super Bowl party every year that we go to. I was very up front with her when we were invited this year and said that we would be going unless the slight chance that the Giants made it, in which case I'd be staying home. Afterall, I've got a real rooting interest this year. I want to watch it on my HD TV with my DVR with pause and rewind features. The last thing I want to do is go to her house and watch it on her piece of shit set, with her screaming brats running in and out of the room and a bunch of stupid bitches discussing which team has the prettiest helmets.

Well, I guess she thought that I was kidding about not going because she called my wife yesterday and tried to get her to guilt me into going. My wife told her that she totally saw my point but that she would still be going since my daughter would love to play with her daughters. So, this bitch pretty much uninvited my wife saying that if I wasn't going then she shouldn't go either. Fuck her and her crappy-ass TV.

I think we might very well be done with her. She's a very controlling person. Her husband is a Giants fan too and I think he's regretting having the party. Like I mentioned, it was planned before anyone thought the Giants would make it.

When my wife told her that she would still be going this woman insinuated like I was trying to get my wife and daughter out of my house so I could watch the Giants in peace. Like I'm sending my daughter over there to bother her husband instead. My wife told her: "No, we're coming because we were invited." Like I said, my daughter wanted to play with her girls. But this "friend" said if that was the case then they should probably just get the kids together some other time. Fucking nuts, right?

Just have the Super Bowl indoors from now on. I can't believe in a fucking desert that it's supposed to rain all day for the biggest game of the year.

I want to see games, especially this one, decided by the on field talent, not the field's condition.
I disagree. All of the teams play an entire season, playing in different field conditions. The most important aspect of the talent and over all game plan is based on being able to adjust to every opponent, and every field and weather condition. Every team that makes it to the Super Bowl has experienced almost every variable. If anything, the Super Bowl should NEVER be played in a domed stadium.

Edit: I didn't know they had a retractable roof, either. The roof should be left open.

it's a bit silly to have a contest between two northeast teams take place in arizona. it's all big business to the nfl and the fans get screwed. it's like if the '86 world series took place in the superdome. ugh. it's antiseptic and football just shouldn't be so. everyone's more worried about the city and how fun and accessible it is for the media and big-business and all their stupid parties than the game itself and maybe some actual fans of the teams involved being able to see the game.

end rant.

The final score will be....

New England Patriots 47
New York Giants 17

The MVP will be LB Mike Vrabel, who will have 2 interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries, and 11 sacks. He will also line up as a TE and catch 2 TD passes.

To start with I just wanna say that if the Giants were playing anybody other than the Patriots I'd probably be rooting againts them but I despise the Patriots.

Obvioulsy some of that is jealousy from what they've been able to accomplish but it's mostly because I just fuckin' hate them.

Even their 3 titles, outside of the Spygate stuff, seems like a fraud.
In my opinion the most overrated 3 time champion EVER !!

SIGH

I rooted for those douches against the Rams because at that time the Rams were the big douche team but now the tables have turned.

It's my own little sports Afghanistan.
I sided with the Patriots/Afghanies against the Commies/Rams and now they've come back to haunt me.

If I have to hear one more time about Brady and dating a supermodel I'm gonna punch somebody.

Doesn't everybody realize that he's dating a woman that Leonardo DiCapprio defiled for years before he cast her off ?

So after tonight he'll have two bad tastes in his mouth.

One of Leo's cock everytime he kissed that skank and the other of being 18-1.

That gapped tooth bastard Strahan better put a hurting on Brady. I don't wanna see an jovial knock him down and pick him up and pat him on the ass/helmet stuff.

I wanna see him driven into the dirt and pee'd on.

Actually from what I hear its Umenyoira ( I know the spelling is probablu off but I didn't wanna look it up ) that likes to pee on people.

Is this really a team you think should be known as the best ever ?

Wes Welker ??

Jabar Gaffney ??

There are PLENTY of front runners out there.

EDIT: You also mentioned their number 3 and 4 receivers. Yeah, for 3 and 4 receivers they are extremely good. The Giants number 3 and 4 receivers? Well, I can name a bunch of Giants receivers but I'm not quite sure who the 3 and 4 are. And I've watched all their games intently in the playoffs. I'd also take Welker over anyone Burress. I might even take Gaffney over Toomer at this stage of their careers.

Belichick Should Have Stayed on the Field

As the final second ticked off the clock on Super Bowl XLII, Bill Belichick was already off the field.

Admittedly, the game was effectively over. New York simply had to kneel on the ball one time to officially put the upset onto the Wikipedia page, but it's still poor form that the head coach of the losing team couldn't be bothered to wait out the final snap.

Obviously Bill Belichick doesn't care what I, the media, or even every fan in America thinks. He does things his own way, which means lots of wins and also Spygate. But if Patriots fans sometimes wonder why Belichick is the NFL's most hated coach, it's the little touches like leaving the field, even though he knew there was still one play to be played, that stick in everyone else's mind. When Randy Moss did the same thing a couple of years ago, he was rightfully castigated. It's 10 times worse for the head coach to do it.

At least according to the ESPNews broadcast of the postgame press conference, no one asked Belichick about leaving the field (or about SpyGate II). Because of the logistics of covering the Super Bowl, most of the media members in the press conference probably never saw that Belichick had left before the game was over--they were either making their way down to the press conference area or were standing in a hallway waiting for the interviews. So maybe that's why no one asked, or maybe it was because Belichick's glare made it look like he would rip the head off of any reporter with the temerity to ask such a question.

I think it would have been more tasteful for Belicheck to 'officially' congratulate everyone on the other side, but at the same time, everyone was on the field and congratulated everyone before that last play....we saw Belicheck go to Coughlin in the middle of the field and do it.

Could he have done it better? Yeah, I think so...but it's not like he completely snubbed everyone. It was a little bit of a dick move, but not something worth getting outraged over.

Brady and the rest of the team was already in the tunnel as the final snap was snapped. What a bunch of bad losers. Brady said he loved running the score up on teams. Well he couldnt do shit against this team.

I have never seen so much hate for a dynasty. Everyone other then Pats fans wanted the pats to lose. Maybe its because they are a bunch of assholes starting with the head coach???

That was the best Super Bowl I've seen. That was the greatest drive, and the greatest play.

Maybe I'm being a homer, but fuck it, I was excited about the game all the way through, and even when the Pats got that last touchdown, I knew that Manning could do the 2 minute drive, and push it right in their teeth, but I had no clue it would be so fucking dramatic. When Tyreee caught that ball, it felt like fucking destiny.

You know, even in the afterglow of what could be possibly the biggest upset in Super Bowl history, you couldn't resist kicking Bossanove in the left nut just once, could you?

I'm still waiting to hear Rodney Harrison's tought's on having to sit out a play early in the game AND his reaction to one of the best catches in Super Bowl history.

ESPN just used a great headline for one of their stats about the Patriots.

Why is Brady always elevated above Aikman when Akman won 3 of 4 titles ?

And Aikman never relied on his kicker to win a Super Bowl for him.

yea but they dont talk about them like that. They didnt just set a monster record in the most popular sport. All you hear is brady brady brady, all the announcers were calling him the best ever this morning. Whether its true or not, it blows the guy up.

not that Aikman wasn't great but you can argue him and Emmitt had the best offensive line in the history of the league. plus Irvin pushed off defenders more than any receiver in the history of pusheroffers

And what's w/ Steve Young saying " Hey the Patriots could go 16-0 next year "

Yeah sure they will.

With a defense that's probably on average 80 year's old and a QB that can't do anything outside of the pocket they're destined for another 18-1.
