She goes to be with her husband, Tom Poston. I loved it when she came back for the final Newhart episode.

That's sad. Bob will be upset, I'm sure. She was great on the show. I had no idea Poston was her husband. I wonder if that had anything to do with him getting his part on Newhart.

That's terrible.
That was a pair of ta-tas I always longed to see, even if just in a bikini...
(when she was younger, of course)

She was hilarious in "The Bob Newhart Show". Too young.

They got married in 2001, so the answer is no.

She was hotter in blue jeans and sneakers then Tippi Hedren in mink and heels.
The schoolhouse scene w/ her in 'The Birds' remains one of the most terrifying, awesome, spectacular set pieces put on celluloid. Ever.
And the ending of the Newhart Show, when she rolls over and you see her; quite possibly the biggest response from a TV audience, ever. The set practiacally exploded. Best ending for a series ever, no doubt

Sad. Godspeed Ms. Pleshette.
Mike is right about The Birds. Not only a great movie but in watching it again recently after many years I was struck by how smoking uber-hot Suzanne Pleshette was back then. That Hitchcock knew what he was doing in more ways than one.
Some pics from back in her day:

I spot Mrs. Krabappel
Homer: Bart's teacher is named Krabappel? I've been calling her Crandall. Why didn't anyone tell me? I've been making an idiot out of myself.
