So I got roped into driving two hours home to go to a Bridal Show this weekend with my fiancee, her two best friends, her mom and her grandma. I am not super pumped about this to say the least. Also, I am taking two kids to go see High School Musical on Ice. Any ideas for getting me through the bridal show or HSM on Ice?

I'll post how everything went afterwards.

the bridal show is about your fiancee, not you.
the ice show is about the kids, not you.

just man up and you'll get through it.
its only a weekend.

It's cool, I like ya Mike we just seem to accidentally flame toward each other.

Anything ideas how to make the bridal show better for me though?

The bridal show isn't just about girly stuff like flowers. There's stuff like bands, DJ's, and other vendors that can be about "man" stuff.

Wander around. It ain't that bad.

PM me if you want wedding tips. I'm trying to get my foot in the door of wedding planning, and I think I could give some good advice for free.

Bridal shows were the BEST!
Free food, free drinks, free entertainment! Plus the raffles we always won! Lots of hot chicks...
Hey, maybe I'll start going back.

Go for the free samples at the bridal show, especially if there is FOOD. Sometimes the caterers have samples, sometimes they don't. It depends on how large the show is and where it is being held.

DO NOT sign up for any of the 'free honeymoon' giveaways. It put us on every cold call list known to man. However, it is a good place to get info.

Best thing is to 'be interested' so you can score points with the family.

For HSM, I have no clue. Do you have an Inno?

actually, a wedding is something that is uber-important.
take it as serious as you can. you can make some bad choices if you arent focused.
besides- women find men that are really into this incredibly sexy.

QFT. Holy shit, I forgot about this.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT sign up for anything, and if they force you to, GIVE FAKE INFORMATION.

Take business cards/flyers from people, write notes on the back of the cards. That way you'll remember what you liked about certain vendors.

Then you call THEM, rather they call YOU.

First of all, shame on you for even going. You should have said "No" from the start and told her to go to the bridal show without you.

The HSM on ice? Sounds like you are doing a nice thing for the kids, so just enjoy them having fun at the show, and it'll go fast.

But seriously, you should be thoroughly baked (or drunk) at the bridal show, that is the only way a man can get through such nonsense.

And yet, no bjs. I guess they aren't that turned on by men who go to girl parties.

For High School Musical on Ice, get your sister-in-law to go in your place. That's what I did.

now that i'm done with school i can start planning on my wedding. my guy was an event planner, so he's very helpful when it comes to all this...I'm just clueless and not one for patience. we did go to some food and wine tasting at a reception hall we're interested in. good stuff. so after my exam next week, we'll be starting to hit the shows. our main concerns are great food, great music (and lots of presents)

I never went to a bridal show, but I'd have to say.. to make it through that look for free samples & hope that you get thank you sex. and just remember that the easier it is for your fiancee to find what she wants for the wedding the less she's likely to ask you your opinion.
