7 to 2....Let the Great Debate Continue...
January 22, marks the anniversary of the Roe versus Wade decision. The decision found that the laws against abortion violated a constitutional right to privacy under the Due Process Clause of the 14h amendment. To this day the abortion issue remains one of the most talked about and politically charged decision America has faced. Every election since then and in the future will come to abortion as one of the key focal points. There are those that argue that abortion represents a woman's right to choose what is best for her and her body. There are others that feel it is a murderous act and the law is in need of reversal. I recently heard the argument, "...why is a man who kills a pregnant woman on trial for a double-murder, yet a woman who terminates the life of an unborn fetus legally allowed to do so?"
The debate goes on and the anniversary of Roe versus Wade is upon us again.
So I ask you, How do you feel about the abortion issue?
