I figured since we have been getting a lot of threads with links to websites specifically for tracking or calorie counting, restaurant guide websites, etc that it would be a good idea to have one thread with them posted for future reference.
I don't want this to deter anyone from making their own threads about a site but i thought that if you should happen upon something that's useful or thoughtful and didn't want to make a thread about it, that it can go here.

workout trainer audio - podfitness.com (http://www.podfitness.com)
As far as my workout goes (and I hate to sound like a corporate shill), podfitness.com is pretty cool. You select what you want to do (as in running, weight training, etc) and they tell you to pick a certain amount of music from itunes (if you have ipod). I know I love it so far, and have been using it a few months.
My only complaint is that sometimes I have to close the program and restart it before it works correctly. And I can't seem to get my computer to accept the newest version of the mixer.

This is a site for learning the benefits of the world's healthiest foods. Aptly named, The World's Healthiest Foods (http://www.whfoods.org), also includes complete nutrition information, how to choose food and cook your meal healthily. Really great site for those who know you have to eat to lose weight correctly. Click on 'WHFoods list' on the left menu bar to start off.

Here's a site that reviews all kinds of different exercise DVDs.
http://www.yourexercisedvds.com/
Check here if you are thinking of buying one. The reviews break down what the exercise is, who it's for, what equipment you might need and what to expect in a very easy reading style.

This is the best workout/nutrition program I have ever done or seen. If you truly stick to the program you will lose a lot of weight within 12 weeks. I dropped from 230 to 168 in 12 weeks. It is amazing and not real hard to follow. www.bodyforlife.com

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.
Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

This is a website about steroids. However, they have great supplement profiles and their workout routines posted on the message board. It also has great fitness calculators, etc. Again, I have never done nor am I advocating steroid use, but the resources on this site are excellent.

This is a good website that endorses natural bodybuilding if you're into that kind of thing. There's a ton of great workout and diet advice on their messageboard. Very nice and respectful people on their messageboard also.

Those guys are fucking nuts! (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/22/fashion/thursdaystyles/22Fitness.html?ex=1292907600&en=60e8cc2df444a18f&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss)
And they've got this weird right-wing Fight Club cult vibe going on. (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/23/magazine/23wwln-medium-t.html?_r=1&ref=magazine&oref=slogin)Amusing and creepy that they exist.
For intense - but not fatal - workouts I'm using this guy's book: Never Gymless. (http://www.rosstraining.com/) One-arm pull-ups will be mine one day! Or not.

I suggest www.releasingfat.com, it is an excellent site on learning how to lose weight through healthy lifestyle choices, and possibly reversing the effects of diabetes. There is a lot of excellent information

I am not sure if anyone is interested in the triathlon. If you are http://triathanewbie.com or http://beginnertriathlete.com are good sites for information about training, nutrition, articles and stories.

This isn't really a health website, but it's a fantastic video for sculpting your abs. Plus, it comes with authentic 1990s workout/elevator music. You can't lose.

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle (jesshin.burnthefat.hop.clickbank.net)
I've heard very good things about Body for Life. Quite a few people i know have moved on from BFL to Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle, by Tom Venuto. I myself follow his program (basically, with some modifications that make it better for me personally, which i think anyone should do with any nutrition/fitness model - and for which Tom leaves ample room)
Several friends of mine have lost large amounts of weight, or gotten into ridiculously good shape...some have entered fitness competitions, triathlons, strong man competitions...you name it...after reading his e-book and implementing that which he lays out.
Personally, i've lost quite a bit of body fat and added quite a bit of lean muscle, while vastly improving all of the numbers for my BP, cholesterol, triglycerides, etc.
What i like best about the program is:
a) the mental aspect - everything starts with the mind. your body can only do what your brain tells it to, so having your brain tuned in and focused and aimed for success is pivotal.
b) the nutrition - i never go hungry. in fact, i eat more - in volume and frequency - than i ever have, but because it's mainly low in calorie density, and because my metabolism is so high with this program, i still lose fat while getting excellent nutritional value (this started me to self-educate on nutrition in general, in which i've become so invested that i am returning to school to seek my Nutrition Bachelors)
c) the focus on "other" more accurate measurements of progress than simply scale weight
and d) the recommendations on how to make adjustments should those measurements indicate that progress is not being made...there's truly valuable information on that which i think everyone interested in diet & fitness ought to know.
