what, in your opinion, is the most useless piece of equipment where you work?
for me, its either:
a) lotus notes. the most unfucking user friendly software. ever.
b) the left hand stall in the mens room. cant handle the smallest of loads w/o needing a secondary flush.

My vote for obsolete would be for the floppy. Though I've used it a few times in the recent past, it really has no practical use.

As for valueable/useable open source stuff ETL/DB software, for companies/people with no money Pentaho (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pentaho/) has been interesting.

NotesSQL will do your reporting for more free-er, albeit unstably. And Domino is good for small companies because Designer is pretty easy for making a custom application.

I've written several replies to this and deleted them all. My anger is not toward you Dola. I like a peaceful message board. But I'm prejudiced.

Basically, I hate IBM and what they did in the holocaust (http://www.ibmandtheholocaust.com/). I'm Polish, and not a Jew but that doesn't matter in this case. I just don't think this should be over-looked.

ky jelly, granted its not technically office equipment nor even part of the office supplies, I bring it with me but what the fuck? Figured someone would get bored of playing solitare or pretending to file something. Only shot I had was with the crazy russian tech guy who smells like the mouth of a crackhead whore during a compton swap meet and looks like magilla. He kinda rubbed my back a bit yesterday, he's always touching me actually, he never shakes my hand instead he chooses to touch me in some fashion. Even though i'm not gay, i'm kinda insulted that this is the best I could do if I was gay, I hope not.
