Stupid people sadly are becoming a strong majority, there are stupid people who are black, white, christian, midgets, jews, muslims, etc. They defend everything they believe in, it can be religion or their poltical belief, even their understanding of history, with really dumb logic. It would be dumb to just label everyone in that group because of the opinions of a few poor examples. Much like we're doing in the middle east by assuming everyone in Iran wakes up and wants americans to die.

I talked it over with his therapist, who had the ludicrous idea that homosexuality was unchangable and that trying to repress could lead to lots of psychological damage (I've dropped him and will try to be finding another therapist with more moral beliefs).
