Basically, Pakistan says "stay out the bushes" to the us.
the president says help from the US is unwelcomed in catching terrorists.
either:
a) he doesnt want us to turn his country into swiss cheese looking for terrorists
or
b) he is harboring terrorists because he is sided with them
or
c) the terrorists have threatened that, if pakistan lets the US in, the terrorists will turn against them (pakistan)
Seems shady, but after thinking about it, i think musharraf has enough problems on his own, and doesnt need the pesky US lurking around.
thoughts?

musharraf must have got wind of the formation of the Bennington 11. He knows Osamas days are numbered.

Or...crazy thought, I know...he doesn't want to risk the US basically occupying his country indefinitely. I realize it's nuts and insane and batshit to think that some countries in the world simply don't want this, but hey, it happens. Not as often as us being greeted with hugs and candy, sure, but it happens.

Why do you hate America?

...and handicapped people?
But seriously... I agree with Mojo on this one. Hey, we offered, and they said no. End of story.
Musharraf said U.S. troops would "certainly" be considered invaders if they set foot in the tribal regions without his permission.
The same thing applies to Pakistani troops.

When issues like this arise I think about it from the other country's position as well as ours. If we were Pakistan, why would we want another country policing our land? Remember when the U.S. turned down aide from other Countries after Katrina? Did we turn that down because we're harboring terrorists?

I dont blame him for not wanting us in his country.
A $4,000,000,000 check is much nicer

Yeah, I tend to think along those lines, but who knows really.

I go with "C" as demonstrated by Bhutto's assasination. She was going to be much stronger on terrorism within Pakistan, even allowing U.S. Troops to be embedded in the Pakistan Military to hunt for Osama.
Bhutto-DEAD!
I don't think Musharaf wants to join her. But I'd still want a bit more help in catching the Al Queada leaders, especially Osama.
